When life gets the better of you? It's been over a year since I started this blog and I still haven't found a direction for it. Kind of like my life, I suppose. It's been a busy year. Maia turned 9, I turned 30, Mark turned 32, Brax and Tori turned 4... Eight more classes til I'm done with my degree, older kids, older me, and I'm still really not sure which road to take.
I guess we start at the bottom and work our way up. Starting today. I've noticed I've been a lot happier lately, despite the ridiculous amount of homework I seem to have. The difference, I think, between this semester and most is that most everything I'm doing is creative! Something to think about as time marches on... maybe we'll implement a crafty time every day.
So our normal routine looks like this:
Mama up around 6 for coffee and a smoke break
Maia up at 6:30, gets dressed and ready for school
Twins wake up somewhere between 6:45 and 7:30, breakfast for them after Maia's on the bus
Free play for twins while Mama finishes waking up
Mama starts homework or housework usually by 9
Snack time at 10
More play time/work time
Lunch at noon
Naptime after lunch til 2:30-3
Maia gets home 3:15, does homework and chores
Twins play and watch TV, Mama does more homework/housework
Dinner somewhere between 4:30 and 5:30 (depending on the day)
Play time for kids, homework time for Mama
Bedtime for twins at 8, Maia in bed by 8:30
More homework for Mama
Wow. That's a depressing list, isn't it. Time to start flipping things around. Mission 1, find a new rhythm. This one's NOT working for anyone!
